Change Your Life by Walking Into the Nature

Time to hold your sunhat and going out in the sun; this is exactly what you need. Natural environment is amazing from many different aspects. There are several studies which suggest that nature is the best tonic for overall health and fitness. It doesn’t only help in maintaining physical health but it can also help in improving mood, relaxation, concentration and enhancing an individual’s capability to connect with other people outside. In other words, nature provides us with everything we need.

Although there is no need for a proof but it would be worth mentioning that a 2004 study in The Spine Journal showed that single session of an exercise such as walking in the park can reduce lower back pain by 10 to 50 percent.

When you walk, your brain releases two neurotransmitter chemicals known as serotonin and endorphins. These are the chemicals which stimulate both physical and mental health and wellness. By walking, you also block pain in natural way, i.e. the big muscle groups such as trunk and legs come into action, leading to the inhibition of pain messages of smaller nerves due to signals fired from larger nerves.

Now, it would be worth mentioning some other benefits you can get by walking.

  • Walking in the nature helps you to listen to the sounds of nature. The biggest benefit of listening to the sounds of nature is that you can easily stay in your present. It means that sitting idly in a room makes you think about the past you want to forget and also about the future you don’t want to have. So, it is better to focus the present which is too beautiful to be in.
  • Social connection is quite important for us humans. Social interaction helps us in staying healthy both from the physical and mental aspects. Therefore, it would be the right idea to go out in the park with someone you want to walk with.
  • Mental health is very important to maintain physical health. Now, you have to make sure that your brain is getting stimulated in the right way. For this purpose, you can go out to have walk in the nature. It doesn’t matter where you go. As long as you are close to nature, you will get your brain working in the right way.
